IDEX Corporation is seeking a technically experienced sales professional to support regional managers in expanding the MPT platform across the Americas. You will present powder-handling solutions, advise on risk reduction, and support on-site testing and customer visits while coordinating with internal teams.

The role requires deep knowledge of control systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and the ability to communicate complex technical information value propositions clearly.

Qualifications

• Fluent Spanish is essential; Portuguese is a plus.

The role is required to provide technical support on all aspects of powder handling, relative to the MPT equipment, across a large range of powder groups (to include pharmaceuticals, food, sports, nutrition, chemical and battery).The support will include, providing technical expertise to influence and maximize sales opportunities using verbal and written mediums, as well as practical demonstrations on site or in our testing facilities. In addition, the role will help to support and manage the execution of strategic projects from point of order to sign-off, working with internal stakeholders and customers mainly focused in the Texas and Latin America region.Key Responsibilities:Carrying out technical presentations and deep dives on the full product range with potential customers, including powder handling subject matter experts.Influencing solutions with the use of standard products on strategic projects.Advising on technical risk reduction on key projects.Supporting customer visits for pre-contract testing, meetings, project discussions and factory acceptance testing.Build knowledge and skills in control systems and control system architecture.Production of reports and presentations (using Word, Excel & PowerPoint), attending customer sites, exhibitions and conferences and on a regular basis.Engaging with potential clients to establish rapport.This list is not exhaustive, and the job holder may be asked from time to time to undertake other duties so that the team or department can function efficiently. Such a request will be reasonable and will be within this role’s normal scope of authority.Skills and abilities:·Fluent in written and verbal Spanish is essential; Portuguese would also be an advantage.Sound understanding of engineering processes with powder handling or milling systems.Understanding of applying Hazardous assessments to equipment such as ATEX and NFPA requirementsUnderstanding of control systems and control system architecture.Ability to present complex technical information to external customers in a way that demonstrates the business value proposition.Highly effective written and verbal communication skills.Flexible, a problem-solver, ability to utilize existing standard products.Team player with the ability to manage complex projects and multi-task with minimal supervision.Hands on practical approachCompetent use of computerWillingness to travelWillingness to be flexible with working times to allow for maximum client timeKnowledge and qualifications:Degree or equivalent experience in mechanical engineering/Design or HNC/HND Mechanical engineering/Design.5 years + experience in a technical sales or solution consulting role is essential, with knowledge of the capital goods industry being a distinct advantage.Understanding of plant layouts & P&IDsA working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics & control systems.Working knowledge of milling/sifting/food/pharma standardsTraining provided:JDE and Workday (MPT internal Systems).IDEX MPT equipmentLocation and travel requirements:Remote based from either Texas or surrounding states and required to travel extensively to South America. Travel will also be required to customer sites, exhibitions, seminars and presentations.
