Job summary

Recruiters' Network Inc. seeks an Applications Engineer - Power Electronics for the Research Triangle Park, NC area.

You will drive the successful implementation of power and thermal products, translate customer needs into practical solutions, and act as a technical champion at sites, key accounts, and partner organizations. This role requires deep power electronics expertise, cross-functional collaboration with Product Management, Sales, and Engineering, and a willingness to travel 20–30%.

Qualifications

  • B.S.E. in Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline.
  • 5+ years’ related product or field application experience in power electronic products.
  • Language: Must have bilingual Mandarin/Chinese is a Plus.
  • Proven ability to translate customer needs into solutions and champion those solutions internally.
  • Hands-on expertise with power electronics (AC/DC, DC/DC, DC/AC converters, chargers, motor drives).
  • Familiarity with thermal solutions (axial fans, EC fans, liquid cooling, solenoids, pumps).
  • Strong communication, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Market familiarity with industries including industrial logistics, energy, agriculture, medical, lighting, automation, food & beverage, off-road vehicles, CNC machines, packaging, oil & gas.
  • Willingness to travel 20–30%.

Your Role with the Company

In this Field Application Engineer (FAE) role you will drive the successful implementation of power and thermal products while understanding customer needs and applications. This role requires deep technical expertise and commercial judgment to achieve business outcomes, while building strong cross‑functional relationships across Product Management, Sales, Engineering, and key external stakeholders.

You’ll be the on‑site technical champion at customer locations, key accounts, and partner organizations — delivering pre‑sales demonstrations, design‑in support, post‑sales troubleshooting, and training. Success will rely on applying progressive project management practices, collaborating with global R&D, and approaching challenges with both curiosity and an entrepreneurial spirit.
