Tolomatic, Inc. is seeking an Applications Engineer in Hamel, Minnesota to develop and support electric linear motion product sales through technical sales and application support.

The role involves selecting, installing, and troubleshooting Tolomatic actuators, motors, and drives, and collaborating across teams to deliver tailored solutions. The ideal candidate has a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to translate

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Functional knowledge of electrical controls, motors, drives, and motion control systems
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, engineering drawings, and application requirements
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including engineering calculations and evaluations
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
• Customer-focused mindset with ability to explain concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and engineering-related software tools
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a collaborative team environment

Responsibilities

• Provide technical sales and application support for Tolomatic electric linear motion products
• Assist customers, distributors, and sales personnel with product selection, sizing, installation, and troubleshooting of electric actuators, motors, and drives
• Perform engineering calculations related to motion dynamics, system requirements, and application performance
• Recommend product solutions based on customer application requirements and operating conditions
• Deliver product training, technical presentations, and application guidance to customers, distributors, and internal teams
• Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Product Management, and Customer Service to support customer success and business objectives
• Maintain current knowledge of Tolomatic products, motion control technologies, and industry trends
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance customer experience, product application support, and internal processes
