Job summary

HPR in Needham, MA, is seeking an Applications Engineer II to support our clients by solving technically complex problems and delivering world-class service across the financial services industry.

You will develop expert level competence in our product portfolio, interface with customers, and collaborate with engineering to drive improvements. Base salary range $90,000–$135,100 per year, with additional compensation possible; sponsorship is not provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or similar field.
• 2+ years supporting business critical applications.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills.
• Ability and initiative to complete tasks and solve problems autonomously.
• Experience with Python and Shell scripting.
• Proficient understanding of networking technologies and protocols (TCP, switch configuration, routing).

We are searching for an Applications Engineer II to support HPR's clients by solving technically complex problems for some of the largest financial institutions in the world. As an Applications Engineer II at HPR, you will:

Required Qualifications:

• Experience with Python and Shell scripting

Desired Qualifications:

• Familiarity with C and Python programming
• Experience with Jira/Confluence

Compensation:

In compliance with Massachusetts law, the anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $90,000 to $135,100. Please note that this range represents the expected base salary for this role at the time of posting. The final offer may vary based based on factors such as the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. This range does not include other forms of compensation such as potential bonuses, equity, or benefits.
