Job summary

Selux US in the Hudson Valley is seeking an Applications Engineer to work closely with Sales, Project Management, Engineering and Manufacturing to support the Selux product line through fixture layouts, technical support, and project execution.

You will create submittal drawings with AutoCAD and layout drawings with SolidWorks for interior and exterior projects, including shipping charts, while evaluating change requests and maintaining CAD documentation to ensure on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Lighting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create submittal drawings using AutoCAD for interior, exterior, and custom projects.
• Create layout drawings using SolidWorks for projects, including shipping charts.
• Evaluate and review change requests for feasibility.
• Revise existing drawings as needed.
• Manage and prioritize drawing assignments.
• Collaborate with Applications Engineering team members on projects.
• Maintain standard product CAD files and documentation.
• Review and verify drawings completed by team members.
• Participate in workload scheduling.
• Provide technical support to Sales and Project Management teams.
• Support remote Applications Engineering team members through video conferencing and other virtual collaboration tools.
• Take ownership of assigned projects from initial request through completion, maintaining drawing accuracy, quality, and adherence to project deadlines.
• Maintain knowledge of Selux products, engineering standards, and departmental procedures to support accurate and efficient project execution.
