Covenant Living is seeking an Application Engineer to serve as security architect and administrator for Workday HCM, Payroll, Purchasing, and Finance platforms. You will design, implement, and test access controls, workflows, and data connections with third‑party systems.
You will partner with Strategic Sourcing, Finance, HR, and IT to ensure secure, compliant operations, manage integration connectors, reporting, and release management, and provide training and documentation.
We Are Inspired to Serve. Join us! The Application Engineer position serves as security architect and administrator for Covenant Living’s Workday HCM, Payroll, Purchasing, and Finance platforms. This role is primarily responsible for supporting and managing the role based access control, policies, and configurations used to manage access to data and functionality within the Workday platform. Responsibilities also include designing, building, and testing the data connections between the Workday ecosystem and third‑party systems.
The Applications Engineer serves as a hybrid functional-technical partner to Strategic Sourcing, Finance, Human Resources, and IT, ensuring Workday role compliance, vendor integrations, and reporting structures operate efficiently, securely, and in alignment with organizational strategy.
Configure and maintain security groups, role assignments, and domain security policies. Administer intersection security roles following best-practice minimal-access principles. Maintain and develop Workday business processes supporting enterprise operations.
Administer Workday Integration connectors, including payroll, benefits, vendor catalogs, punch-outs, user groups, and security settings. Address break-fix issues and monitor integration statuses. Document and publish solutions to common issues.
Identify reporting needs, analyze procurement trends, and develop Workday reports/dashboards. Provide key metric reporting to stakeholders, highlighting challenges, opportunities, and efficiency improvements.
Monitor Workday scheduled releases, test impacts in Sandbox, evaluate new features, and recommend process changes. Facilitate documentation and end‑user training for new capabilities.
Helps guide cross functional group and change management process within the Workday platform.
Maintain internal trainings, technical documentation, diagrams, and process guides.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Supply Chain, or related field
Workday Pro Certification (Security, Reporting, Procurement, or relevant functional area)
$84,459.00 - $126,687.00 per year
A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position is $84,459.00 - $126,687.00 per year. There are numerous factors taken into consideration in determining the actual offered rate of pay, including but not limited to: job‑related qualifications, experience, skills, education, geographic location, and consideration of internal and external equity.
