Job summary

Penguin Random House’s Westminster, MD and Crawfordsville, IN Operations Center is seeking a motivated, self-directed individual to join our Distribution Systems Support team. This onsite role supports distribution-related systems across multiple time zones from Crawfordsville or Westminster.

The ideal candidate will have a college degree and 2–5 years in IT development/support, and hands-on experience with Oracle PL/SQL, Linux scripting, TCP/IP sockets, and API usage.

Qualifications

• College degree plus 2–5 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent hands-on experience in an IT development/support role.
• Oracle PL/SQL, stored objects experience.
• Linux commands and shell scripting experience.
• TCP/IP socket programming, API programming/usage.

Responsibilities

• Support project initiatives involving distribution-related systems, including user interfaces, back-end processes, and reports.
• Resolve help desk tickets, support users, and customize user exits to accommodate process changes and new customer requirements.
