Pay: $70,000 - $150,000 / year depending on experience

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM or 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Job Description:

The Applications Developer will help develop, maintain, and improve internal business applications that support daily operations. This role requires hands‑on experience with C# and SQL, along with the ability to troubleshoot issues, understand business needs, and implement effective technical solutions. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who communicates well, embraces new technologies, and works effectively within a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance internal business applications using C# and SQL.
• Create and optimize SQL queries to support application functionality and data retrieval.
• Partner with technical teams and business stakeholders to identify requirements and implement solutions.
• Troubleshoot application issues, investigate root causes, and implement improvements.
• Assist with the maintenance and integration of business systems and applications.
• Explore AI-assisted coding tools and modern development practices to improve productivity and code quality.
• Translate business needs into practical technical solutions.
• Communicate project updates, technical findings, and recommendations to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of hands‑on experience in application development or a related software development role.
• Working knowledge of C# and SQL, including writing queries.
• Experience developing, maintaining, or supporting business applications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage responsibilities independently.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with a close‑knitted team.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing business needs.
• Oil and gas or energy industry experience preferred.
• Familiarity with any WellView, AERIES, Quorum, Merrick, or SCADA-related systems is a plus.
• Exposure to AI coding tools such as Claude, Cursor, or similar platforms is preferred.
