Job summary

Technology Council of Central Pennsylvania in the Harrisburg area is seeking a developer to bolster production applications within a modern Microsoft environment. The role focuses on production support and enhancements rather than greenfield development, with developers owning the full lifecycle from requirements to deployment and ongoing support.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on application development experience using C#.NET and SQL Server.
• Experience supporting production applications.
• Comfortable working directly with business stakeholders.
• SSRS, SSIS, unit testing and debugging experience are highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide production support and deliver enhancements from a sprint backlog.
• Own full lifecycle from requirements through deployment and ongoing support.
• Collaborate with business users without dedicated Business Analysts.
• Contribute to modernization efforts such as framework upgrades and server migrations.
• Occasionally participate in new initiatives as needed.

Role Overview

This role supports and enhances mission-critical business applications in a modern Microsoft environment, with a primary focus on production support and application enhancements rather than greenfield development. Developers own the full lifecycle, including requirements gathering, analysis, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support, working directly with business users without dedicated Business Analysts. Day-to-day work includes resolving production issues, delivering enhancements from a sprint-based backlog, and contributing to broader modernization efforts such as framework upgrades and server migrations, with occasional involvement in new initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on application development experience using C#.net and SQL Server and ideally Git
• Experience supporting production applications
• Comfortable working directly with business stakeholders
• SSRS, SSIS, unit testing and de-bugging experience are highly preferred
