Job summary

Nightwing Technologies, LLC is seeking an Applications Architect to lead development and operations for a range of systems. The role focuses on scalable software architectures, API integration, and the alignment of solutions with the digital architecture across the Intelligence Community. TS/SCI with Polygraph is required on Day 1.

You will mentor developers, drive code quality, and collaborate with IT mission partners to deliver secure, high-performance applications and services.

Qualifications

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications using Java and Python.
• Collaborate with analysts and developers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Implement and maintain APIs for system integration.
• Optimize performance, security, and scalability of applications.
• Troubleshoot defects and ensure high quality releases.
• Work with relational databases (MySQL) for data storage/retrieval.
• Follow coding, testing, and deployment best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and drive continuous improvement.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and propose enhancements.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and performant software architectures.
• Lead the development team through design, testing, and modification stages, ensuring architectural blueprints.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications with stakeholders.
• Define and enforce enterprise-wide architectural standards and processes.
• Select appropriate technologies and frameworks, staying updated on trends.
• Conduct code reviews, ensure coding standards, and oversee testing/debugging.
• Monitor and optimize application performance across systems.
• Document designs and configurations for maintainability.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership.
• Contribute to defining best practices across the organization.
