Job Description:

Short Description:

Senior Application Developer with proven experience in designing, developing, delivering, and enhancing Client-Server/Web-Based/Cloud-Based/Mobile Software Applications using QuickBase Rapid Development Application.

Complete Description:

This position is within the Application Software Development (ASD) Division of the Office of Information Systems (OIS), supporting the YSD Truancy Application, including troubleshooting, upgrades, and enhancements.

The primary responsibilities include designing, developing, delivering, and enhancing applications on the QuickBase platform. The candidate will manage business-aligned IT services, ensuring high-quality, defect-free applications that meet industry standards for development, testing, and deployment.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

• Ability to design, develop, and deploy applications supporting case and program management, especially with YSD Truancy QuickBase Application.
• Mentorship and technical advice to a team of developers.
• Strategic advice to management and clients.
• Implementation of programming standards supporting secure and defect-free applications.
• Interaction with government clients to meet technical requirements.
• Collaboration with QA/QC teams to ensure application security and quality.
• Evaluation, design, and implementation of programming standards related to the QuickBase application and infrastructure.
• Documentation of processes, system updates, user guides, ER diagrams, and SOPs, including Visio network drawings.
• Participation in team problem-solving, demonstrating initiative and critical thinking.
• Working closely with partner agencies to meet their priorities.

Skills & Requirements:

• 11-15 years of experience conveying technical and functional concepts.
• 13 years of experience preparing complex technical documentation.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field, or equivalent experience (minimum 4 years).
• 11 years of experience with QuickBase application development.
• 11 years of experience with database technologies, development methodologies, and front-end/back-end programming languages like SQL.
• Highly desired: 6 years of experience with WCF and SOA.
• 5 years of experience with JIRA/Bugzilla/HP ALM tools.
• Desired: 7 years of experience with ADO.NET and databases like MS SQL Server or Oracle.
• Highly desired: 7 years of ETL experience in Data Warehouse/BI platforms.
• Desired: 10 years of experience with Visual Studio and .Net Framework with C# and VB.
• 15 years of experience developing enterprise applications within a distributed architecture.
• 7 years of experience with QuickBase features and functionalities.
• 7 years of experience integrating with Microsoft Power BI.
• Proficiency in database concepts and data modeling.

Compensation: $61.00 - $68.00 per hour.
