Clean Harbors is seeking an Application Technical Lead to guide a team of software developers and work with architects to define requirements, estimate tasks, and resolve defects. You will drive design decisions, implement scalable enterprise applications, and lead the adoption of AI-powered approaches.
Ideal candidates have 5+ years in software development, 3+ years in a technical lead role, and strong .NET/T-SQL expertise, with Agile experience and collaboration across product and QA teams.
Job Description
The Application Technical Lead guides a team of software developers and is responsible to work closely with other key team members (i.e. Tech Mgr, QA, Product) to define business requirements, estimate and assign tasks, and resolve defects. They will also work with the architects on technical design and architecture in their project team.
Proficient with the Microsoft .NET technology stack, including C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET Web API, and related frameworks
Strong experience writing and optimizing T-SQL for Microsoft SQL Server
Experience with Angular or similar modern front-end frameworks preferred
Solid understanding of software architecture principles and patterns, including SOA, Object-Oriented design, MVC, and CQRS
Experience working in Agile environments, with exposure to scenario-driven and test-driven development practices
Experience integrating AI-powered capabilities into enterprise applications, such as:
Consuming AI/ML APIs (e.g., document processing, classification, summarization, or natural language interfaces)
Designing systems that incorporate LLM-based services responsibly (prompt design, validation, monitoring, and cost controls)
Applying AI solutions to improve operational efficiency, decision support, or user experience
5 years of software development experience, including 3 years in a Technical Lead role, providing architectural guidance, mentoring engineers, and driving delivery standards
