Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking an APPLICATION SYSTEMS TECHNICIAN for our onsite client in Warsaw, IN. The role focuses on setup, maintenance, and support for application software, hardware, and connectivity to shop floor CNC machines, ensuring accessibility, reliability, and change control for business users.

You will travel monthly to support locations across the United States, including Puerto Rico, and work with SQL, PowerShell, and Batch to automate processes, patch systems, and support manufacturing

• Experience with SQL, PowerShell and batch scripting in manufacturing environments.
• Willingness to travel monthly to support locations across the United States, including Puerto Rico.
• Strong communication skills to interact with diverse end-users.

Responsibilities

• Manage CNC programs, automation, backups, and troubleshooting using SQL, PowerShell, and batch files.
• Learn and operate DELMIA DNC Shop Floor Programmer application.
• Write and optimize SQL queries to track data and work logs.
• Build PowerShell scripts and batch files to automate transfers, backups and upgrades.
• Diagnose network, software, and hardware issues to reduce downtime.
• Interact with diverse end-users and coach them as needed.
• Communicate technical concepts to nontechnical users.

DESCRIPTION

Our client is looking for a diverse and talented APPLICATION SYSTEMS TECHNICIAN to join the Information Technology Team. The APPLICATION SYSTEMS TECHNICIAN provides setup, maintenance, and support for application/software, hardware/infrastructure, and connectivity to shop floor CNC Machines. The APPLICATION SYSTEMS TECHNICIAN will ensure accessibility, reliability, and change control in support of business users. The APPLICATION SYSTEMS TECHNICIAN will travel monthly to support locations across the United States, including Puerto Rico! This position is a great opportunity for recent IT graduates, those interested in programming, and for individuals who have IT support experience.

DUTIES

• Work daily with SQL, PowerShell and Batch files to manage CNC programs, automation, backups, and troubleshooting.
• Learn and work DELMIA DNC Shop Floor Programmer application.
• Write and optimize SQL queries to track data and work logs.
• Build PowerShell scripts and Batch files to automate transfers, backups and system upgrades.
• Diagnose network, software, and hardware issues to reduce downtime.
• Comprehend industrial Ethernet and TCP/IP communications.
• Monitor and support centralized CNC machines on the network.
• Install and validate application software on Microsoft/SQL Applications and Database servers.
• Implement patches and upgrades to existing software.
• Execute automation scripting and provide feedback of success or failure.
• Interact with diverse end-users and coach them as needed.
• Communicate technical concepts to nontechnical users.
• Provide SQL reports to business teams.

• Will train on 1st shift for first 3 months
• After training will work 3rd shift schedule
• Patches/Upgrades to existing software

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Warsaw, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $22.00/hr.
