Spalding, a Saalex Company, is seeking an Application/Systems Administrator for hybrid work at Patuxent River, MD. The role requires on-site support about 3 days/week and may include occasional evenings/weekends for patching and upgrades.

The candidate should have a BS/BA or AS/AA with 7 years of related experience, or HS with 9 years. Security clearance actions include TS/SSBI or Secret with ability to obtain TS/SSBI.

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting software issues required.
• Knowledge of DISA STIGS and how to implement required.
• CompTIA Security+ certification required (must show proof prior to interview).
• Education/Experience: BS/BA or AS/AA degree with 7 years related experience OR HS with 9 years related experience.

Responsibilities

• Install, integrate, configure, test, troubleshoot, and secure software applications on Windows systems (Office, Java JRE, Visual Studio, Raytheon EAGLE).
• Operate and sustain AWS Cloud-native services, especially AWS GovCloud.
• Troubleshoot software issues and provide support via ticketing system to stakeholders.

Our expert-level solutions include software development, information technology, program management, financial management and business intelligence services.

Position Type:Full-time

Salary:$125k-$155k annually (depending upon experience)

Work Location:Hybrid. Requires on-site support at Patuxent River, MD approximately 3 days per week.May require occasional evening/weekend hours for patching/upgrades.

Essential Functions:

• Performs the installation, integration, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, security implementation, and configuration of software applications with specific focus on Windows systems, including:
• Microsoft Office products
• Java JRE
• Visual Studio
• Raytheon EAGLE
• Operations and sustainment of AWS Cloud-native Services, specifically AWS GovCloud.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software issues.
• Provides support through a ticketing system to application owners, developers, and internal/external teams.
• Other duties as assigned or required.

Required:

• Experience troubleshooting software issues required.
• Knowledge of DISA STIGS and how to implement required.

Desired:

• Application installation/configuration/administration experience on Windows-based systems required, experience with large-scale/complex app configuration a plus.
• Strong foundation and understanding of AWS native services required, experience with AWS GovCloud highly preferred.

Education/Experience:

BS/BA or AS/AA degree and 7 years related experience OR HS and 9 years related experience.

Security Clearance:

Active/Interim TS/SSBI clearance desired or active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SSBI.Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.
