Spalding, a Saalex Company, is seeking an Application/Systems Administrator to join our hybrid team at Patuxent River, MD. You will install, configure, test, and troubleshoot software on Windows systems (Office, Java JRE, Visual Studio, Raytheon EAGLE) and operate AWS GovCloud services.

Candidates should have a BS/BA or AS/AA with 7 years related experience, or HS with 9 years. Knowledge of DISA STIGS and CompTIA Security+ certification are required or in progress. Active/clearance is preferred.

• CompTIA Security+ certification required (proof before interview).

Responsibilities

• Install, integrate, configure, test, troubleshoot software apps on Windows systems (Office, Java JRE, Visual Studio, Raytheon EAGLE).
• Operate and sustain AWS GovCloud native services.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software issues.
• Provide support through a ticketing system to app owners, developers, and internal/external teams.

Our expert-level solutions include software development, information technology, program management, financial management and business intelligence services.

Position Type:Full-time

Salary:$125k-$155k annually (depending upon experience)

Work Location:Hybrid. Requires on-site support at Patuxent River, MD approximately 3 days per week.May require occasional evening/weekend hours for patching/upgrades.

Essential Functions:

• Performs the installation, integration, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, security implementation, and configuration of software applications with specific focus on Windows systems, including:
  • Microsoft Office products
  • Java JRE
  • Visual Studio
  • Raytheon EAGLE
• Operations and sustainment of AWS Cloud-native Services, specifically AWS GovCloud.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software issues.
• Provides support through a ticketing system to application owners, developers, and internal/external teams.
• Other duties as assigned or required.

Required:

• Experience troubleshooting software issues required.
• Knowledge of DISA STIGS and how to implement required.
• CompTIA Security+ certification required (must show proof of cert prior to interview)

Desired:

• Application installation/configuration/administration experience on Windows-based systems required, experience with large-scale/complex app configuration a plus.
• Strong foundation and understanding of AWS native services required, experience with AWS GovCloud highly preferred.

Education/Experience:

BS/BA or AS/AA degree and 7 years related experience OR HS and 9 years related experience.

Security Clearance:

Active/Interim TS/SSBI clearance desired or active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SSBI.Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.
