Application Support Specialist - Operations

Are you looking for a fast-growing, innovative, and data-driven company? You’ve come to the right place! We are looking for an Application Support Specialist to join the team, and to serve as a key technical partner to the Operations department, responsible for ensuring the reliability and effectiveness of the company’s core software platforms. The Application Support Specialist will work on project implementation and system administration in the position. Additionally, the role will be expected to work specifically with the Operations department to assist in identifying, evaluating, and implementing new product modules and enhancements within DWC.

What you will be doing:

  • Expert Application Support : Act as the subject manager expert for all software applications used within the Operations department, particularly the WMS and various logistics and shipping platforms.
  • Reactive and Proactive Troubleshooting: Quickly diagnose and resolve application issues, identifying the root cause to prevent future recurrence.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of all software issues and resolutions in a help desk ticketing system.
  • Collaboration with Development: Act as a critical liaison between Operations and the development team. Provide detailed feedback and technical requirements to help resolve bugs and influence the development of new features that align with business needs.
  • User Training and Enablement: Develop and deliver training programs for operations staff on existing and new software applications. Create and update user guides and best practice documentation to empower end-users and reduce support requests.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively monitor the performance and user feedback of all operational software. Identify opportunities for process automation or system enhancements, and manage the implementation of new software modules or updates to improve efficiency and productivity.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar IT support or Application Support role.
  • Software configuration experience required.
  • Experience within a logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, or distribution center environment is strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting a Warehouse Management System, ideally TBO4, is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working in an ERP, ideally Acumatica, preferred.
  • Familiarity with common logistics and carrier software used for freight management, parcel shipping, and customs documentation.
  • Strong understanding of software development principles.
  • Experience working with a ticketing system.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Ability to understand and document technical requirements and software relationships in an organized manner

Salary Range: $65,000 - $87,000 based on degree of experience
