General Electric Credit Union is seeking an Application Specialist (Operations Support) to manage and optimize the organization's core banking, origination, and online banking systems. You will ensure performance, reliability, and user satisfaction by configuring and maintaining core software and workflows.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of credit union or banking experience.
• Experience with system troubleshooting and project management.
• Experience working within origination processes.

Responsibilities

• Leverage understanding of core systems and origination processes to drive efficiencies.
• Configure, maintain, and update systems to align with operational and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical support and guidance to team members on core system functionality and workflows.
• Develop and deliver training materials to enhance user knowledge and proficiency.
• Analyze current processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement within the core system.
• Collaborate with departments to develop and implement efficient solutions.
• Assist in automating manual tasks and integrating third-party systems.
• Test new features, updates, and patches before deployment to ensure compatibility and functionality.
• Participate in system-related projects, such as upgrades, migrations, and conversions.
• Develop project timelines, communicate progress, and manage deliverables to meet deadlines.
• Ensure the core system Proficiency in banking software (e.g., Fiserv, FIS, Meridian Link, Candescent, or similar systems).

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

The Application Specialist utilizes a deep understanding of financial institution operations and online banking system configurations partnered with a commitment to enhancing system efficiency and user experience to manage and maintain the organization's core banking system, origination system and online banking system to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and functionality.

Education and Experience:

• Knowledge of API integrations and system interfaces
• Strong understanding of financial institution operations and regulatory requirements
• Solid working knowledge of core systems and origination process within the credit union
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Ability to handle after-hours support for training or system upgrades may be required
• Self-driven, motivated with the ability to manage priorities
• Ability to execute operational changes to core software systems accurately and efficiently
• Skill in identifying and resolving issues related to operational updates and software functionality
