Job Summary:
We are seeking an Applications Specialist of Solid Round and Insert Cutting Tools. A successful representative is responsible for account management and generating new opportunities for the organization. The main task involves understanding customers' needs in metalworking, as well as educating customers, prospects, and distributors of GWS Tool Groups products and capabilities. It is essential for the applications specialist to effectively provide detailed information on various products, programs or services offered by GWS Tool Group, but also clearly and effectively communicate what the customer needs back to the GWS Tool Group team.

- Scheduling appointments, meeting existing customers in order to review customer applications and product requirements and to determine opportunities.
- Effective planning to conduct sales presentations by meeting customers physically on a daily basis.
- Liaising between the company and the customers for up-to-date conditions on pricing, service, and latest product release launches.
- Generating and developing prospect accounts to increase revenue, by partnering with the distribution chain.
- Continuously updating all customers on company product modifications, changes, and enhancements.
- Enhancing up to date knowledge on new products, procedures, services, and tools by attending departmental and training meetings.
- Maintaining professionalism, diplomacy, sensitivity, and tact to portray the company in a positive manner.
- Effectively attending conferences and trade shows.
- Using marketing data to maximize sales effectiveness and efficiency by using relevant sales management tools.
- Organizing joint sale calls and attending them with distributors.
- Preparing reports for sales and marketing and maintaining expense accounts.
- Updating and maintenance of customer accounts including contact names and numbers for future sales.
- With the help of inside sales support, provide product quotes to customers as needed.
- Ensuring follow-up after passing leads to managers with complete profile customer information, calls-to-action, sources, dates.
Education and Experience:
- 1-3 years Strong Manufacturing background with a focus in Milling, Turning, Grooving p>To act as first point of contact for customers from enquiry to order / cash collection. To work closely with the sales team and support them to achieve sales objectives and improve the sales efficiency and customer satisfaction.br />Manage and develop existing business in line with customer segmentation, rules and procedures./p>p>/p>p>Interfacing with Customers / Frontline Sales/p>ul>li>Referral point of contact for global [or specific countries] customers, handling incoming calls, emails or chat requests to collect requests, queries, enquiries or complains and either solve them or escalate through case management in case of unsolved customer enquiry/li>li>Work with Sandvik processes with ERP SAP system and all integrated systems and applications/li>li>Handle contacts with frontline sales to collect needs and reroute accordingly/li>li>In case of case escalation, connect to customers according to SLA to communicate 2°line findings and solutions/li>/ul>p>/p>p>OTD handling/p>ul>li>Provide prompt response at first touch for enquiries or requests within the scope of contents available in EBP system / MS Dynamics / other available databases/li>li>Provide offers, quotations and stock availability information for standard products [and Tailor Made]/li>li>Handle order entry activities/li>li>Handle order enquiries like amending or fixing errors, cancelling orders, EBP error handling/li>li>Monitor order progress and delivery information/li>li>Secure billing activities covering debit and credit note management, invoicing and invoices issues queries/li>li>Secure delivery and related administration, managing expedites and handling delivery through shipping providers, handling goods receipts and other needed documentation/li>li>Support and drive Shop Online and e-Commerce solutions by providing assistance and instructions to customers on self-service processes/li>li>Collect complains and reroute to relevant owner (frontline sales, 2° line Support, Pamp;I Specialists)/li>li>Collect returns and secure administrative tasks to proper handle them/li>li>Handles the non-compliances follow up and the potential client compensations and issues credit notes/li>li>Secure data quality within the systems/li>/ul>p>/p>p>Case Management/p>ul>li>Create cases within case management system to keep records as ticket to customer queries, incidents and requests and communicate it according to the processes within the company/li>li>Handling escalation of unresolved customer enquiries to proper function 2° line, Value center or Frontline sales/li>li>Follow up with customers on open cases according to SLA/li>/ul>p>/p>p>Sandvik Coromant Ambassador/p>ul>li>Act and communicate as Sandvik Coromant brand ambassador with customers/li>li>Act according to code of conduct and Sandvik Coromant values and principles/li>/ul>p>/p>p>Required Competencies/p>ul>li>Experience and skills within ERP system SAP, Microsoft Office 365./li>li>Multi language skills preferable Chinese and English./li>li>Ability to work as part of an international team/li>li>Ability to work as a team player/li>li>Be analytical and a capable problem solver/li>li>Be persuasive and have good interpersonal skills/li>li>Be a self-starter with a positive mind-set and solution orientated/li>li>Be able to achieve and set targets and goals by influencing others/li>li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills/li>li>Capable of working in a demanding environment (high stress tolerance)/li>li>span>1 – 5 years of experience as customer service support role /span>/li>/ul>p>/p>
