Job Title: Application Specialist – Capital Equipment | Engineering-Focused
Location: Remote (U.S.-based, with travel)
Compensation: $90,000–$130,000 Base + $20K Bonus | Travel Expenses Covered

About the Role

A global leader in advanced capital equipment solutions is seeking an Application Specialist to support its regional sales team. In this customer-facing, technical advisory role, you\'ll help bridge engineering expertise with client needs — from pre-sales consultations and on-site trials to post-sale training and technical support.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with Regional Sales Managers to support capital equipment sales
  • Travel to client sites for technical training, product trials, and customer visits
  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor during the sales process
  • Assist with lab testing (Waterloo-based) and contribute to internal/external training
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to help close deals and ensure client satisfaction
Qualifications
  • 2–5 years of experience in an engineering, technical sales, or applications role
  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, or Process Engineering preferred
  • Industry experience in food, pharma, or capital equipment is a strong plus
  • Comfortable with AutoCAD; CRM experience (Microsoft Dynamics) a plus
  • Must be highly motivated, adaptable, and eager to learn
  • Willingness to travel 50%, especially during initial ramp-up
