Job summary

Warren Cat is seeking an Application Specialist to act as the Product Expert for Cat Paving Products. The role includes Site Assessments and using Fleet Production Cost (FPC) software and CAT Value Simulation Tool (VST).

You will lead site assessments, provide FPC and VST analyses, and support the sales force with paving product deliveries, demos, and technical support. A background in paving equipment is required. Travel up to 50% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 5+ years in heavy equipment paving experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

Responsibilities

• Represent Warren Cat for Cat and Weiler paving products including pavers, planers, compactors and reclaimers.
• Support Sales force during calls, demos, deliveries and technical support.
• Assist Service Dept with paving product deliveries and setup for rental or new sales.
• Lead on all site assessments.
• Provide Fleet Production Studies and VSTs as needed.
• Assist sales with paving leads and potential customers.
• Develop Cat training for customers and Warren Salesmen.
• Identify market opportunities with sales management.
• Advise on parts stocking strategy for paving products.
• Communicate new products and feedback to Warren CAT staff.

The Application Specialist will serve as the Product Expert for Cat Paving Products. This assignment will also perform Site Assessment tasks including Fleet Production Cost (FPC) Software and CAT Value Simulation Tool (VST).

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Represent Warren Cat for all Cat and Weiler Paving Products. This includes Pavers, Planers, Compactors and Reclaimers.
• Support Sales force during Sales Calls, Demos, Deliveries and Technical Support and Cat Paving Products.
• Assist Service Dept with Paving Products deliveries and set up for Rental or new Sales.
• Serve as the Lead Person on all Site Assessments.
• Provide Fleet Production Studies (FPC) and VST’s as needed.
• Assist sales force with potential customers for and Paving leads
• Develops and coordinates and Cat Training for assigned Products for Customers and Warren Salesmen.
• Identifies market opportunities with sales management
• Provides recommendations for parts stocking strategy for Paving Products.
• Communicate new products, service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate Warren CAT staff.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or 5 or more years in the heavy equipment industry with a focus on paving related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
• Knowledge of Accounting software; Database software; Internet software; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
