Job Summary

The Application Specialist performs all data entry related to the processing of undergraduate applications for admission and assists with data operations within the Office of Admissions.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs all data entry related to undergraduate applications in the CRM (Slate) and SIS (PeopleSoft), including but not limited to, initial entry of student applications and updating information in student applications.
• Troubleshoots application data errors and provides assistance to applicants.
• Assists with new student orientation.
• Participation in admissions and recruitment events, answering admissions phone lines and providing customer service as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 1 year of related experience with data entry and customer service.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate with a diverse group of individuals.
• Ability to work some nights and weekends as necessary.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office; ability to utilize a PC and keyboard to perform data entry.
• Ability to adapt to an environment with rapidly changing priorities.
• Ability to maintain cooperative relationships with colleagues.
• Ability to complete assignments accurately and with attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of PeopleSoft and Slate.
