You will deliver security solutions including AI agents and Harnesses, align work with engagement objectives, and mentor junior practitioners while driving secure DevSecOps practices across projects.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in application security focusing on cloud modernization and DevSecOps.
• 3+ years migrating, assessing, and securing .NET, Java, SAP, or SQL databases in cloud environments.
• 3+ years applying application security tooling (SAST, SCA, DAST, CNAPP, WAF, etc.).
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; 12+ years work experience; Associate’s degree requires 6 years.
• Travel may be required (0–100%).

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain client relationships and translate security needs into modernization plans.
• Design modern security architectures for .NET, Linux web apps, Java apps, and SQL databases.
• Guide migration of legacy applications to cloud environments, ensuring security standards.
• Apply deep security knowledge to cloud migration and modernization challenges.
• Integrate security within the secure SDLC and DevSecOps.

This position supports clients as they modernize and transform existing applications into cloud-first operating models, with a focus on DevSecOps shift-left practices, automation, and AI-driven approaches.

In this role, you will design security architectures, help migrate legacy applications to public, private, or hybrid cloud environments, and conduct security assessments for modernized systems. You will also deliver application security solutions that can include AI agents and Harnesses, while aligning technical work with engagement objectives.

What you’ll do

• Build and maintain strong client relationships through direct interactions, translating client security needs into modernization plans for new and updated applications.


• Design modern security architectures for applications including .NET, Linux web apps, Java apps, and SQL databases, supporting secure-by-default and scalable cloud deployments.


• Provide expertise during migration of legacy applications to cloud environments, helping ensure compliance and security standards are met.


• Apply deep application security knowledge to address challenges tied to cloud migration and modernization.


• Implement and integrate security within the secure SDLC, demonstrating deep understanding of DevSecOps.


• Deliver modern application security solutions, including implementations involving AI agents and Harnesses.


• Communicate client expectations to the engagement team to maintain alignment with project security objectives.


• Conduct comprehensive security assessments, with emphasis on environments that have been modernized.


• Own significant engagement components, with potential for a larger role on smaller, critical projects.


• Contribute to engagement planning and ensure deliverables meet contract and work plan objectives.


• Deliver services that meet Accenture Project Manager specifications and support expectations exceeding client needs.


• Coach and develop junior Application Security practitioners while contributing reusable assets, methods, and thought leadership.


• Identify and communicate opportunities to strengthen existing security frameworks during ongoing client engagements.

Minimum requirements

• 3+ years of experience in application security, emphasizing modernization of security frameworks and implementing secure, scalable solutions in cloud environments using DevSecOps.


• 3+ years of experience migrating, assessing, and securing .NET apps, Java apps, SAP apps, and/or SQL databases in cloud environments.


• 3+ years of experience with application security tooling, including SAST, SCA, DAST, ASPM, CNAPP, WAF, Secrets Scanning, Container Scanning, API Security Scanning, AI Security assessments, and Infrastructure as Code scanning.


• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (minimum 12 years work experience). If an Associate’s degree is held, minimum 6 years work experience is required.


• Travel may be required, varying from 0 to 100% based on business need and client requirements.
