Job summary

Accenture is seeking an experienced Application Security Consultant to drive modernization and secure cloud migrations. You will design secure architectures for .NET, Java, SAP, and SQL in cloud contexts, and implement DevSecOps controls across the secure SDLC to protect client environments.

Expected to lead security assessments, manage engagements, and mentor junior staff while expanding secure framework assets and methods across critical projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in application security with focus on modernizing security frameworks.
• Experience migrating, assessing, and securing .NET, Java, SAP, and SQL in cloud settings.
• Proficiency with security tooling: SAST, SCA, DAST, ASPM, CNAPP, WAF, Secrets and Container Scanning.

Drive client-focused application security modernization, from secure cloud architecture through DevSecOps and migration delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support strong client relationships through direct interactions, translating client security needs into modernization plans
• Design modern security architectures for .NET, Linux web apps, Java apps, and SQL databases, with secure-by-default and scalable cloud deployments
• Provide application security expertise during migration of legacy applications to cloud environments, ensuring security and compliance standards are met
• Apply deep knowledge of application security to address security challenges tied to cloud migration and modernization
• Implement and integrate DevSecOps controls through the secure SDLC
• Deliver modern application security solutions that include the implementation of AI agents and Harnesses
• Communicate client expectations to the engagement team and maintain alignment with project security objectives
• Conduct comprehensive security assessments, with emphasis on modernized environments
• Own significant engagement components, with potential for expanded responsibility on smaller, critical projects
• Contribute to engagement planning and ensure deliverables meet contract and work plan objectives
• Deliver services that meet Accenture Project Manager specifications and exceed client expectations
• Coach and develop junior application security practitioners while contributing reusable assets, methods, and thought leadership
• Identify and communicate opportunities to improve existing security frameworks during ongoing client engagements

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years experience in application security, with strong focus on modernizing security frameworks and implementing secure, scalable cloud solutions using DevSecOps
• Minimum 3 years experience migrating, assessing, and securing .NET apps, Java apps, SAP apps, and/or SQL databases in cloud settings
• Minimum 3 years experience with application security tooling, including:

  • ASPM, CNAPP, WAF
  • Secrets Scanning

  • Infrastructure as Code scanning
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years work experience); if Associate’s degree, must have minimum 6 years work experience
