Job summary

Epsilon seeks an accomplished application security expert to drive secure software practices across development teams in Chicago. You will analyze code and use security testing tools to identify vulnerabilities, justify findings, and guide remediation while shaping security architectures and threat modeling.

Qualifications

• BS / MS in Computer Science or similar degree.
• 10+ years of experience in related fields.
• Direct experience in software development.
• Direct experience with one or more CI/CD platforms.
• Direct experience with application testing (SAST, DAST, MAST, RAST, IAST).
• Direct experience in application vulnerability management processes.
• Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and CWE 25.
• Knowledge of programming languages and scripting.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle.
• Knowledge of web and app security stack and cloud security concepts.

Responsibilities

• Perform code analysis of applications, manually and with testing solutions, to identify vulnerabilities.
• Provide context and rationale for identified vulnerabilities.
• Review and recommend remediation actions for vulnerabilities.
• Drive security architecture design reviews and threat modeling of products.
• Improve security accessibility through automation and CI/CD integration.
• Build trust with teams to achieve security goals.
• Lead cross-disciplinary initiatives to improve security of engineering ecosystem and products.
• Contribute to security standards and documentation.
• Collaborate to ensure understanding of security policies and best practices.
• Assist onboarding of teams to security platforms.
