Job summary

United Airlines is seeking an Engineer- Application Cybersecurity to ensure services and applications adhere to secure development standards. You will partner with development, product, and security teams to integrate security across the lifecycle from design to deployment.

You will conduct assessments, guide remediation, and help teams implement best practices, threat modeling, and secure coding techniques across cloud and on‑prem environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
• Minimum 2 years of related experience.
• Experience with scripting (Python) or coding to automate processes.
• Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and CWE 25.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices (CI/CD).
• Experience with application testing (SAST, DAST, MAST, RAST, IAST).
• Understanding of SDLC and web/app security stack.

• Collaborate with product and development teams to embed security into the product lifecycle.
• Provide remediation guidance and support for vulnerability fixes.
