Job summary

The Sherwin-Williams Company is seeking a Applications & Platform Services Business Analyst at our Cleveland Headquarters to bridge business needs with technology teams and translate requirements into tangible system specifications.

You will partner with Compliance, Product Stewardship, Sales, and IT to document processes, data requirements, and system capabilities, delivering technology-driven solutions that meet regulatory and business objectives.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in business systems analysis and design with software development methodologies.

• Experience with data analysis, coding, and automation.
• Knowledge of database structures and data management.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and document business processes, workflows, data models, and other artifacts to capture current and future states of business systems.
• Research and propose approaches to develop functional and technical specifications for new or modified systems, processes, and procedures to meet business requirements.
• Work closely with software developers, data analysts, and testers to ensure new systems or changes to existing systems meet the defined business requirements, are delivered timely, and within budget.
• Help apply system settings and options to meet business goals supporting the planning and execution of system testing.
• Conduct research on third-party solutions or technologies and gather insights related to their features, benefits, and drawbacks, and present findings to senior team members.
• Support team in updating and maintaining system documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness, such as process diagrams, data dictionaries, user manuals, and training materials.
• Analyze system metrics, such as uptime, response times, and error rates, to recommend system optimization and performance improvements.
• Continuously monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to support the team with identifying potential opportunities to improve existing business systems and processes.
• Support and coordinate training sessions for end‑users, as needed

This position is not hybrid/remote and will be located at our Cleveland Headquarters office.

This position is not eligible for sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future, including conversion to H1-B visa.

Must be eighteen years or older

Candidate will work with sensitive regulatory and formulation data. Must be US citizen or Green Card holder working within the United States for compliance with regulations including but not limited to viewing ITAR formulations.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age


• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employmentwithout now or in the future requiring sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., OPT, CPT, H1B, EB-1, etc.)


• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Information Systems, or in lieu of a degree, at least 3 years of experience in the field of business systems analysis or IT.


• 2+ years of experience in business systems analysis and design with a deep understanding of software development methodologies


• Knowledge of business and technical operations, workflows, and procedures


• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills


• Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex information to non-technical stakeholders and vice versa


• Experience utilizing tools, techniques, and leading practices related to data analysis, coding, and automation


• Knowledge of database structures and data management principles

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP) or Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT)


• Experience supporting compliance, regulatory, product stewardship, or sales operations processes.


• Experience leading technology projects and coordinating multiple stakeholders.


• Familiarity with enterprise applications, business process management, and data analysis.


• Business Analysis certifications (CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, or equivalent) are a plus.
