Job summary

Skiller Staffing LLC is seeking an experienced Applications Manager to lead the Applications team supporting customers and Technical Sales across the Americas. The role focuses on food product applications, color matching, formulation, troubleshooting, product stability, customer trials, and technical support.

The manager will train and develop the team, collaborate with Sales and Marketing, support customer projects, and work with global application teams to share knowledge and best practices.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in the food industry.
• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related field.
• Strong food product development and formulation experience.
• Experience with food ingredients and ingredient applications.
• Strong understanding of analytical methods, product testing, and stability.
• Excellent technical communication and presentation skills.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to travel for customer visits, trials, training, and trade shows.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Sales to execute customer projects involving color matching, formulation, troubleshooting, stability, and product development.
• Support customer trials, technical demonstrations, workshops, training sessions, and technical calls.
• Provide technical support to customers and Sales teams regarding food ingredients and applications.
• Develop and optimize food formulations and application solutions based on customer requirements.
• Conduct research related to manufacturing processes, formulations, ingredients, product replication, and application performance.
• Build stability data and validate applications across new food categories.
• Develop technical presentations, application guides, training materials, webinars, and workshops.
• Create and maintain application sheets, project reports, technical documentation, and project records.
• Train and onboard Application and Sales personnel on product properties, technical considerations, and applications.
• Lead and develop the Applications team through ongoing training, coaching, and project support.
• Collaborate with global application teams to share technical knowledge, best practices, and solutions.
• Support trade shows, product demonstrations, customer meetings, and marketing activities.
• Help determine the feasibility and readiness of new products and applications.
• Manage application project tracking systems and improve processes when needed.
• Maintain an organized and compliant laboratory environment.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, PPE, SQF, food safety, quality, and company procedures.
