Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an Application Development Manager to join our client's IT organization in Cleveland, OH. This individual will lead an eight-person, globally distributed development team responsible for the Oracle APEX and PL/SQL applications connecting multiple ERP environments with Blue Yonder.

The role is approximately 70% leadership and 30% hands-on technical work, including code reviews, architecture decisions, troubleshooting, query optimization, and translating business

Qualifications

• 7-12+ years of application development / enterprise technology experience, ideally beginning in a hands-on development capacity and progressing into technical leadership.
• 3+ years of direct people management experience, including 1:1s, performance management, employee development, goal setting, and team leadership.
• Ability and willingness to remain approximately 30% hands-on technically, including coding, code reviews, technical design/architecture, troubleshooting, query optimization, and performance issues.
• Experience supporting enterprise applications and integrations across multiple systems.
• Experience working with APIs, interfaces, and data integrations between enterprise applications.
• Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions and providing technical direction to development teams.
• Experience managing development priorities, team capacity, backlogs, and competing business requests in partnership with Product Owners.

Responsibilities

• Lead an eight-person, globally distributed development team responsible for Oracle APEX and PL/SQL applications connecting multiple ERP environments with Blue Yonder.
• Balance ~70% leadership with ~30% hands-on technical contributions (code reviews, architecture decisions, troubleshooting, performance optimization).
• Oversee team priorities, backlog alignment, capacity planning, and employee development in partnership with Product Owners.
• Support and guide enterprise integrations across Oracle R12, Oracle Cloud/Fusion, QAD, and Blue Yonder; ensure production support readiness.

Location: Cleveland, OH, 5 days a week onsite relocation package available

Duration: Permanent

Rate: 1$30-165k

Team: 8-person globally distributed development team

Hands-On Expectation: Approximately 30% technical / 70% leadership

Bonus/Equity: Up to 10% bonus + stock options

Must Haves:

Preferred Qualifications:

• Blue Yonder supply chain planning experience (Experience with comparable supply chain planning platforms such as Kinaxis or o9)
• Oracle Fusion SCM experience combined with strong PL/SQL skills
• Experience supporting Oracle R12, Oracle Cloud/Fusion, QAD, or multiple ERP environments
• Experience leading or supporting on-premise to cloud migrations / modernization initiatives
• Supply chain planning, forecasting, or production planning experience
• Manufacturing experience, particularly within batch/process manufacturing
• Experience supporting globally distributed applications and development teams
• Experience within complex enterprise environments that include a combination of legacy and modern/cloud technology

Day-To-Day:

The role is approximately 70% leadership and 30% hands-on technical work, including code reviews, architecture decisions, troubleshooting, query optimization, and translating business requirements into technical solutions. The manager will oversee team priorities, backlog alignment, capacity, employee development, and partnership with Product Owners while supporting an enterprise environment that includes Oracle R12, Oracle Cloud/Fusion, QAD, and Blue Yonder. A major upcoming initiative will be helping lead the migration of the Blue Yonder calculation engine from on-premise infrastructure to the cloud. The team also participates in rotating 24/7 production support. The ideal candidate will bring strong Oracle PL/SQL/application development experience, direct people leadership, enterprise integration experience, and the ability to remain technically hands-on while leading a team.
