Job summary

Cayuse Holdings seeks an Application Integration SME to design, develop, and maintain data integration pipelines connecting Microsoft Dataverse and the Power Platform with various systems. The role emphasizes secure, high-performance data migration across cloud and on-premises environments.

The candidate will build Power Automate flows, expose REST APIs, and ensure data quality with strong security practices. A TS clearance and onsite work in the Washington, DC area are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in IT or CS.
• 8+ years of professional full-stack software development experience.
• Proficiency with Power Automate for building distributed workflows.
• Hands-on experience with Power Apps/Platform Dataflows.
• ETL expertise using SSIS.
• Familiarity with Azure Data Factory for orchestration.
• Experience designing/consuming REST APIs and web services.
• Config/administration of On-Premises Data Gateway.
• Strong SQL skills and Dataverse data model knowledge.
• Experience with authentication protocols: OAuth 2.0, Azure AD/Entra ID, service principals.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data integration and migration pipelines using Azure Data Factory, SSIS, and Power Platform Dataflows to connect Dataverse to on-premises, cloud, and SaaS systems.
• Build and support Power Automate integration flows, including scheduled, triggered, and event-driven workflows.
• Develop, consume, and expose REST APIs to enable bi-directional data exchange between Dataverse and external systems.
• Configure and troubleshoot the On-Premises Data Gateway for secure data access across environments.
• Perform data profiling, cleansing, mapping, and transformation with emphasis on quality and integrity.
• Optimize pipelines for throughput and latency; implement logging, alerts, and monitoring for reliability.
• Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to gather requirements and document data flows and runbooks.
• Apply security best practices for data in transit and at rest; manage credentials and RBAC.
• Support testing efforts and production troubleshooting for performance and data issues.
• Stay current with Power Platform, Dataverse, and Azure updates; recommend improvements.

Overview

Employment in this role is conditional upon successful execution of the contract by the client.

The Work:

The Application Integration, SME will design, develop, and maintain data integration pipelines that seamlessly connectMicrosoft Dataverseand thePower Platformwith internal and external systems. This role focuses on ensuring secure, reliable, and highly performant data migration and integration across diverse cloud and on-premises environments. This role will demonstrate an ability to handle complex data workflows, API integrations, and hybrid system connections, while adhering to the latest security and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain data integration and migration pipelines using tools such asAzure Data Factory,SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), andPower Apps/Power Platform Dataflowsto connect Dataverse to on-premises, cloud, and SaaS systems.
• Build and supportPower Automateintegration flows, including scheduled, triggered, and event-driven workflows.
• Develop, consume, and exposeREST APIsto facilitate bi-directional data exchange between Dataverse and external systems.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot theOn-Premises Data Gatewayfor secure data access across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Executedata profiling, cleansing, mapping, andtransformationactivities, ensuring data quality and integrity throughout integration processes; apply analytical techniques for troubleshooting data issues.
• Optimize integration pipelines forthroughput, latency, and protection limits while implementing robust error handling, logging, alerting, and monitoring to ensure reliability and rapid issue resolution.
• Work withsolution architects, business stakeholders, and functional consultantsto gather requirements, design technical solutions, and documentdata flows, integration architecturespecifications, and operational runbooks.
• Applysecurity best practicesfor data in transit and at rest, includingcredential managementandrole-based access control.
• Support testing efforts, includingunit testing,integration testing, anduser acceptance testingfor integration workflows; provide production support and troubleshooting for integration failures, performance bottlenecks, and data discrepancies.
• Stay current with Power Platform, Dataverse, and Azure integration service updates and recommend solutions to enhance system performance and capabilities.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Active Top Secret Security Clearance.
