Job summary

Auto-Owners Insurance is seeking an Analytics Division Application Infrastructure (MLOps) Developer to build and maintain scalable ML deployment pipelines and infrastructure. After initial in-person training in Lansing, Michigan, the role offers hybrid work with up to three days remote per week, though fully remote work is not available.

You will work with engineers, DBAs, security experts, and QA to deploy, monitor, and optimize ML models using MLFlow, SageMaker, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or another related degree is required.
• Candidates without a four-year degree, but with several years of relevant experience, may also be considered.
• Must be able to learn and effectively use tools and development techniques as practiced, acquired, or adopted within the Analytics Division.
• Some object-oriented development experience is strongly preferred (Python, C#, and/or Java).
• Experience with SQL, Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket, Docker, Kubernetes, PowerShell, and/or SSRS/SSIS is preferred.
• Experience with machine learning operations tools such as MLFlow, SageMaker, or model deployment pipelines is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Development and support of software application infrastructure for new or existing systems, including deployment automation, repository maintenance, application security, scripting, performance monitoring, and third-party software administration.
• Collaborate with software engineers, system administrators, DBAs, security engineers, and test automation engineers.

Responsibilities
