Forgent Power Solutions, Inc. seeks an Application Engineer to provide advanced technical expertise for customers, sales teams, and internal groups.

You will handle complex applications, develop engineered solutions, and lead technical discussions while mentoring junior engineers during the sales and project cycle. Key responsibilities include reviewing requirements, creating proposals, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet customer needs.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent technical experience
• 2-5+ years in applications engineering or related role
• Design and/or field service experience
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specs, and requirements
• Proven experience supporting engineered-to-order product solutions
• Excellent communication, customer-facing, and presentation skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with ERP/CRM/quoting systems
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines

Responsabilidades

• Review complex customer specifications and requirements to develop feasible product solutions.
• Serve as technical expert for internal teams and key customers, guiding on capabilities and integration.
• Create detailed technical proposals, configurations, and documentation for large projects.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, manufacturing, and product management to align with capabilities and customer needs.
• Recommend alternative designs or cost-effective, custom solutions.
• Support pre-sales activities, including customer presentations and technical Q&A sessions.
• Troubleshoot advanced application challenges and resolve customer issues.
• Lead or contribute to continuous improvement of tools, templates, workflows, and processes.
• Prepare and review submittals, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and product updates.
• Provide mentorship and training to junior Applications Engineers.
