Job summary

Crane Cryogenics in Brazil, Indiana, is seeking an experienced Application Engineer to support semiconductor systems. You will design vacuum-jacketed piping and cryogenic distribution equipment, lead first-article manufacturing, and collaborate with customers and sales teams to deliver engineered solutions.

The role requires PE licensure and 5+ years in related industries, with strong CAD and communication skills. Travel to customer sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in industrial systems, process piping, or semiconductor-related fields.
• Experience performing engineering calculations and developing technical designs.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with CAD software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Technical Sales Support: evaluate opportunities and develop technical solutions with sales teams.
• System Design & Engineering: design VJP systems, develop layouts, specs, and routing concepts.
• Manufacturing Support: lead first-article builds and support manufacturing to meet specs.
• Customer & Cross-Functional Collaboration: interface with customers and internal teams for project execution.
• Continuous Improvement: contribute to standards, design practices, and documentation.
