Weir is seeking an Application Engineer in St. Louis, onsite, to support pump selection, proposals, and order handling. You’ll size pumps, prepare quotes, and work with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, efficient solutions for mining-related applications.

The role emphasizes collaboration, continuous improvement, and a strong safety culture. A mechanical engineering degree and 3+ years in technical sales or application engineering are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 3+ years in technical sales or application engineering within manufacturing.
• Experience with centrifugal pumps or related pump technology.
• Proficiency with SAP ECC for quotations and order handling.

Responsibilities

• Review customer specs and terms to align with Weir’s products.
• Size pumps and select equipment; prepare quotations and proposals in SAP ECC.
• Enter orders accurately and provide ongoing technical support to customers and internal teams.
• Collaborate with engineers, PMs and sales for continuous improvements.
• Travel required: none, inside sales orientation.
• Maintain a strong safety culture and zero-harm mindset.
