Job summary

Henkel is seeking a technical expert in Adhesive Technologies to lead engagement with key market segments and translate customer needs into innovative solutions. You will collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product Development and Application Engineering to drive growth and ensure customer success across our US market.

The role emphasizes deep understanding of manufacturing processes and application performance, supporting new product introductions while expanding Henkel’s technical leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field is required.
• 5+ years in application engineering, technical service, product development, manufacturing, or customer-facing technical roles.
• Experience translating market needs into technical/commercial opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical expert for assigned market segments and identify growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with customers, Sales, Marketing, Product Development, and Application Engineering teams to translate needs into solutions.
• Develop understanding of customer processes to guide technology and product strategies.
• Lead technical evaluations, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept activities to show value of ACM solutions.
• Generate market insights through customer visits, industry engagement, and competitive analysis.
• Support new product introductions by validating performance and alignment with customer needs.
• Share application expertise and market intelligence across regional/global teams.
• Represent Henkel at customer events and technical forums to grow market presence.

What you´ll do

• Serve as the technical expert for assigned market segments, identifying emerging trends, customer challenges, and opportunities for growth.
• Collaborate with customers, Sales, Marketing, Product Development, and Application Engineering teams to translate market needs into innovative solutions and business opportunities.
• Develop deep understanding of customer manufacturing processes, applications, and performance requirements to guide technology and product strategies.
• Lead technical evaluations, application assessments, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept activities that showcase the value of (ACM) solutions.
• Generate actionable market insights through customer visits, industry engagement, competitive analysis, and collaboration with commercial teams.
• Support new product introductions and commercialization efforts by validating application performance and ensuring alignment with customer needs.
• Build and share application expertise, market intelligence, and best practices across regional and global teams to accelerate capability development.
• Represent Henkel at customer events, industry conferences, and technical forums to strengthen market presence and identify future growth opportunities.

What makes you a good fit

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline required.
• 5+ years of experience in application engineering, technical service, product development, manufacturing, or customer-facing technical roles within industrial, specialty chemical, adhesives, coatings, or related markets.
• Strong customer engagement and consultative problem-solving skills with the ability to uncover unmet needs and translate them into technical and commercial opportunities.
• Ability to influence and collaborate across multiple functions, effectively connecting market insights, technology, and business objectives.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage technical experts, commercial teams, and customers at multiple organizational levels.
