AleraInfoTech is seeking an Application Engineer for Machining Processes to join on-site in Minerva, OH. The role requires hands-on experience with cutting tools, tooling design, and process management to improve tool life, machine uptime, and lean manufacturing outcomes.

Candidates should have 2+ years in machining, CNC, and tooling, with proficiency in milling tools, blueprint reading, and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Degree/understanding in Manufacturing, Industrial or Mechanical.
• 2 years hands on experience with cutting tools & metalworking.
• Experience in tool life management, machine uptime, work-holding, and lean applications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and reading blueprints.
• Expertise in milling cutting tools including indexable and solid carbide tools.
• Well-rounded understanding of materials, surface finishes, and surface treatments.

Responsibilities

• Identify and recommend tools best matched to the application and machining parameters
• Trouble shoot performance and tool life problems and make recommendations regarding corrective actions
• Analyze customer\'s performance based on tool use and suggest new tool designs to determine possible improvements
• Manufacturer Management
• Vendor tasking and status updates
• Top Efficient/Inefficient Tools by Department
• Tool Life Improvements
• Quality Improvements
• Support Productivity Improvements
• Work with manufacturers on Tooling improvements and problem resolution
• Support all Tooling, Process and Manufacturing Engineers

Candidate must possess a degree/ good understanding & knowledge (Manufacturing, Industrial or Mechanical) and a minimum of 2 years hands on experience and technical competency within cutting tools & metalworking, process design, implementation and management experience in a Manufacturing environment with an emphasis on tool life management, machine up-time, work-holding, manufacturer communications and lean applications.
