Job Description Summary
The Applications Engineer II reports to the Manager of the Application Integration Team in support of MUSC’s academic, research, and healthcare missions. Under indirect supervision, the engineer provides operational, consultative, and collaborative functions within Information Solutions. Responsibilities include implementing and maintaining clinical applications, system updates, and supporting end users. The role requires proactive and reactive support, professionalism, and excellent customer service. The engineer participates in team meetings, onboarding, leads projects, and suggests solutions to improve efficiency.

Required Education/Skills/Experience
High school diploma with 8 years related experience, or a bachelor’s degree with 4-6 years related experience, or a Master’s degree in a related field. Good communication and customer service skills are essential.
Physical Requirements
The role involves standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs, working indoors and outdoors, working at heights, in confined spaces, bending, twisting, squatting, pinching, grasping, manipulating, reaching, lifting up to 50 lbs., and visual and sensory acuity. Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime is required.
