Role OverviewThe Applications Engineer I provides technical and application support for products and solutions, serving as a bridge between engineering, sales, and customers. This entry-level role focuses on learning product capabilities, supporting customer applications, assisting with technical evaluations, and contributing to application development and documentation. The Applications Engineer I works under close supervision while building foundational technical, analytical, and customer-facing skills. This position is ideal for early-career engineers seeking hands-on experience in product applications, customer support, and solution development.
Support customers and internal teams with product application questions and basic technical guidance. Assist with product selection, configuration, and application recommendations. Help troubleshoot application and performance issues under guidance from senior engineers.
Collaborate with engineering teams to understand product design, specifications, and performance characteristics. Support testing, evaluation, and validation of products in customer or lab environments. Assist with product improvements by documenting application feedback and performance data.
Provide technical support to sales teams during the pre-sales and post-sales process. Assist with preparation of technical proposals, presentations, and application documentation. Participate in customer meetings, demonstrations, or site visits as needed.
Assist in preparing application notes, technical documentation, and training materials. Maintain accurate records of customer requirements, applications, and support activities. Follow established engineering processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines.

Fundamental understanding of engineering principles relevant to the product domain. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to learn technical products and applications quickly.
