Job summary

WEG Electric Corp in Duluth, GA is seeking an HVS Application Engineer to lead the negotiation process from RFQ inception to close. You will collaborate with Field Sales, customers and factories, develop industry experience, and own quotations and pricing discussions.

Responsibilities include generating accurate quotes, ensuring adherence to pricing guidelines, reviewing purchase orders, organizing documents, and supporting project coordinators technically or commercially as needed.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years’ experience as Application Engineer in Electric Machines industry or relevant business experience.
• Proven capabilities in the Electric Machines industry in roles related to Application Engineering.
• Technical knowledge of electrical machines and their applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and take ownership of the quotation/opportunity by seeking feedback.

• Follow minimum pricing guidelines as established by management.
• Identify opportunities to management when alternate pricing is needed.
• Accurately receive and review Purchase Order.
• Generate order entry material.
• Organize all quotation/order documentation electronically and physically.
• Assist Project Coordinator / Manager technically or commercially as needed.

The HVS Application engineer is responsible and accountable for the WEG HVS negotiation process from inception of the RFQ to negotiation close out.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Communicate with Field Sales, Customer(s), and factories effectively
• Demonstrates an understanding of the application, the OEMs, customer visits, etc.
• Develop industry experience (periodicals, internet research, conference participation, site visits, etc.).
• Lead and takes ownership of the quotation/opportunity by requesting feedback from Sales or directly from customers, when appropriate.
• Compile an accurate quotation to customers of WEG’s offering
• Ability to follow minimum pricing guidelines as established by management
• Ability to identify opportunities to management when alternate pricing is needed
• Accurately receive and review Purchase Order (as needed)
• Generate order entry material
• Organize all quotation/order documentation electronically and hard copies (if needed)
• Assist Project Coordinator / Manager technically or commercially as needed

Education:

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or university program certificate, or 2 to 4 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Knowledge / training:

• Proven capabilities in the Electric Machines industry in roles related to Application Engineering
• Technical experience and Knowledge of Electrical machines and their applications
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, as well as Outlook

Experience:

• 1 to 3 years’ experience as Application Engineer in Electric Machines industry or relevant business experience.
