About Us:

The Transportation and Energy Vertical Lab (T&E Vertical Lab), formerly known as the Automotive and Aerospace Division Lab, is dedicated to closely collaborating with the Automotive Market in Korea. Our primary focus is on Automotive Original Equipment Manufacturing companies (OEMs) and their Tier suppliers. Our major OEM customers include Hyundai & Kia Motor Corporation, Samsung SDI, and Renault Ssangyong Motors.

What We Do:

We participate in every segment of the automotive manufacturing process, providing value-added solutions for both Internal Combustion Engine-based passenger vehicles and Electric Vehicles (battery-run or hybrids). Our solutions are widely applied in vehicles for:

1. Attachment and joineries
2. Thermal and noise management of vehicular sub-systems
3. Decorative elements in 2D or 3D forms

Primary Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

1. To develop automotive applications mainly with the acrylic foam tape, structural adhesive, dispensing sealant or with other Automotive 3M solutions (Nonwoven, Film, Ceramic etc)
2. To collaborate with the global teams to lead and support application or product development projects
3. To implement customer training, seminar and demonstration for developments
4. To conduct hands-on testing and develop test reports
5. To present testing results, conclusions and recommendations to customers and 3M personnel as needed

Basic Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s or higher in polymer/material/mechanical engineering/chemical engineering or related fields.
2. Preferred Master’s degree, but not mandatory
3. Experience in 1 – 5 years of Automotive related industry
4. Experience in Tape, Adhesive and dispensing sealant solutions for Automotive is preferred
5. Strong team play mind
6. High priority mind to Business growth & Customer relevance
7. English skill for Global communication in oral and written English
8. Ability to work independently to complete projects, as well as work with cross-functional teams
9. Cross Collaborate with Global Teams on key projects and customer engagement
10. Skills for MS Office, Power BI, MS Project, Minitab and etc.
