Job summary

Greatjob is seeking an Application Engineer to design and develop mechanical and electrical products per customer specifications. You will modify existing designs and apply engineering principles to meet cost and manufacturing targets.

You will review requests, define requirements, manage bids with suppliers, and support production planning while improving system reliability and performance. Strong collaboration across teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in technical discipline or equivalent; Bachelor's preferred.
• Drafting experience with AutoCAD LT or SolidWorks.
• Experience with PLCs/ HMIs (Siemens/Allen-Bradley).
• Strong software skills (Excel, PowerPoint, PDF).
• Ability to work in a matrixed, cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities

• Review customer design requests, specifications and data to evaluate feasibility and cost.
• Define customer product requirements and create design specifications.
• Assist with project management: bids, supplier evaluation, production planning.
• Provide recommendations to improve reliability and performance; participate in continuous improvement.
• Resolve production problems with the manufacturing team; perform other duties as assigned.
