Job summary

Joyce/Dayton Corp. is seeking an Application Engineer to translate customer product specifications into solutions. You will prepare quotations, support customers and internal teams, and collaborate with design and manufacturing to ensure final products meet requirements.

Travel up to 5% domestically, with responsibilities spanning pricing, technical service, and continuous improvement. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for success in a dynamic sales engineering

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
0-2 years of experience.
Excellent customer service skills.
Leadership potential.
Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective written and verbal communication of technical concepts.
Strong computer skills including MS Office and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

Prepare quotations for products and systems to meet customers’ requirements.
Provide quotation follow-up as required.
Provide technical support for customers, internal staff, and external sales force.
Develop pricing for lifting systems and specialty linear positioning equipment.
Ensure final product designs meet customers’ specifications.
Interact with customers, customer service, external sales force, design engineering, and manufacturing personnel to support customers’ requirements.
Work with engineers to resolve problems that arise during and after implementation.
Domestic travel (up to 5%).
Complete reporting requirements as requested by Sales Engineering Manager as related to performance metrics or other measures that foster continuous improvement.
Perform related work and additional duties as requested/assigned by management.
