Job Description:

Collaborate with innovative 3Mers around the world

As an Application Engineer in the Abrasives System Division in Mexico, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.

The impact you will make in this role:

• Leading application development, including ideation, documentation, feasibility analysis, and validation.
• Troubleshooting challenges and optimizing abrasive process performance at customer sites.
• Providing insights on customer needs as part of 3M Product Development teams, collaborating on new solutions.
• Supporting and training customers, sales reps, and distributors through visits and e-media development.
• Developing new methods to evaluate abrasive solution performance.

Your Skills and Expertise:

To succeed in this role from day one, 3M seeks candidates with:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Automation, or related engineering fields.
• At least five (5) years of relevant industrial technical, sales, or customer experience.
• Field trip availability – 50%-70% of the time.

Additional helpful qualifications include:

• Experience with virtual interaction tools.
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.
• Experience in new product development and validation during scale-up.
• Ability to document technical work and present results effectively.
• Hands-on construction and fabrication experience, especially with industrial abrasives.
