Job summary

Genuine Search Group in Milwaukee seeks an Application Engineer to help define project requirements, develop system concepts, and prepare technical proposals for customer automation projects.

The ideal candidate will have strong SolidWorks experience, excellent communication, and a proven ability to develop quotations and respond to RFPs/RFQs while collaborating with sales and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
• SolidWorks proficiency for mechanical design and concept development.
• Experience preparing technical proposals, quotations, and responses to RFPs/RFQs.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.
• Ability to work effectively with customers and cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to travel periodically to customer facilities.

Responsibilities

• Meet with customers to understand manufacturing processes, production challenges, and automation requirements.
• Develop automation concepts and robotic system solutions meeting customer objectives.
• Create 3D layouts, concept models, and preliminary equipment designs using SolidWorks.
• Prepare detailed technical quotations, cost estimates, and commercial proposals.
• Review RFPs/RFQs and develop comprehensive technical responses aligned with project requirements.
• Define project scope, timelines, and technical specifications for proposed solutions.
• Evaluate technical feasibility, risks, and manufacturing considerations during proposals.
