Position Summary

The Applications Specialist for CRANE® KROMBACH® Valves will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and market presence of the CRANE® FKX9000 Valve portfolio. This role is responsible for identifying and capitalizing on business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and supporting sales growth initiatives. Primary Responsibilities
  • Serve as a technical expert on FKX9000 valve portfolio by providing support to the internal teams, customers and channel partners.
  • Define focus applications together with the sales team by leveraging existing product offerings and collaborating with Engineering to propose suitable alternatives when needed.
  • Manage and track the opportunity funnel using Salesforce, ensuring timely updates and driving opportunities through the sales cycle to successful closure.
  • Assist Inside Sales team prepare bids for complex projects, ensuring specifications, exceptions, and pricing details are clearly defined and aligned with Business Line Manager guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Project Management to monitor the progress of special projects, ensuring customers receive timely and accurate updates from initiation through final deployment.
  • Develop and deliver technical training presentations to sales representatives, distributors, and engineers, focusing on product applications, features, and competitive differentiators.
  • Assist the Business Line Manager in developing market forecasts, strategic and operational plans, and supports initiatives aimed at reducing product costs and improving profitability.
  • Support the New Product Development (NPD) team by capturing and communicating Voice of Customer (VOC) insights to help tailor product features and functionality to market needs.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying and enhancing processes used by the team to increase efficiency, consistency, and overall performance.
  • Attend industry conferences and seminars to engage with channel partners and customers, gathering feedback and market insights to inform product strategy and customer support initiatives.
Essential Qualifications / Experience
  • Technical Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with at least 2 years of experience in related field preferably with industrial equipment for Power and Chemical/Refining industry or more than 10 years of experience in similar position with knowledge of valves or other flow handling equipment in industrial applications.
  • Relevant experience in Industrial valve technologies, applications and specifications particularly in Power Generation Chemical and Refining sectors.
  • Ability to leverage technical expertise to connect with industry peers and customers.
  • Knowledge of Industry Specifications such as ASME B16.34, API, MSS etc.
  • Other Qualifications: Customer and Sales growth oriented Problem-solving approach Highly self-motivated and results oriented Strong interpersonal and communication skills Excellent presentation skills Proficient in Microsoft office tools.
  • May be required to travel up to 25% on company business. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. #LI-VD1 #CPE
