Job summary

The Cullerton Group is seeking an Applications Engineer – CNC Tool Grinding in Mundelein, IL. You will run customer demonstrations, test grinding, and install CNC grinding machines at customer sites, while optimizing processes for reliability and performance.

You’ll develop dressing strategies, select grinding wheels, and train customers on operation and programming, providing feedback to engineering and R&D to improve products and service.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on CNC grinding experience.
• Tool and cutter grinding experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of grinding wheels, dressing, coolants, and workholding.
• CNC programming experience, ISO/G-code.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances.
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
