Prodigy One, LLC is seeking an Application Engineer (Backend) to join our team in Linthicum Heights, MD. You will develop Python-based REST endpoints, microservices, and data-model management using Django and Flask, interfacing with MariaDB or MongoDB and delivering JSON to UI front ends.

This role supports automation, security-focused enterprise workflows, and sustainment of backend services. A TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is required for consideration; 8+ years of software development

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development/engineering experience.
• Experience with Python and Docker.

• REST endpoint development experience.
• Databases: MongoDB or MariaDB.
• Microservice architecture experience.

Job Description:

We are looking for a Application Engineer to join our team, performing API development for our customer. As part of the Secure the Enterprise initiative, the engineers will develop capabilities to shift from the current manual system security evaluation and authorization process to a new model that emphasizes automation, streamlined processes and approvals, continuous monitoring and assessment, and network data gathering across the entire life cycle of a project. The Application Engineer (Backend) will provide the development, test, deploy, and sustainment of various Python based ReST end points, microservices, and data model management capabilities utilizing Django and Flask frameworks to interact with data models stored in MariaDB or MongoDB and send data upon request, in JSON format, to UI front ends. The developer will provide middleware and backend support to all system applications.

Basic Qualifications:

• 8 years experience in software development/engineering

• Experience using Django or Flask
• Databased experience using MongoDB or MariaDB
• ReST endpoint development experience
• Micro service model experience
• Desired skills:
  • Experience withAWS, C2S or other cloud technologies

Education Requirements:
