Job summary

Atlas Copco in Houston seeks a Technical Applications Support specialist to assist with compressor system design, application engineering, and proposal generation for the Oil Free Air division. You will interact with customers to support proposals and contracts and help promote Atlas Copco solutions.

• Provide support for compressor system design, application engineering, and proposal generation.
• Maintain customer contact to support proposals and contracts.

• Review inquiries and specifications and respond timely.
• Design compressed air systems to meet customer requirements.
• Travel to customer sites and present as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Mission

Provide support for compressor system design, application engineering, and proposal generation for the Oil Free Air division.

To succeed, you will need

Role and Responsibilities:

• Technical Applications Support (100%) – Provide support for compressor system design, application engineering, and proposal generation for the Oil Free Air and Industrial AirDivisions.
• Customer contact as needed to support proposals and contracts.
• Assist sales as needed to promote Atlas Copco solutions and products.
• Review and respond to customer inquiries and specifications on a timely basis.
• Design compressed air systems to meet customer requirements.
• Travel to customer sites and make presentations as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience– minimum 2 yearsexperience in compressor experience.

Education–Bachelor’s (4-year) degree in mechanical engineering or related.

Skills–Must be an independent self-starter, with excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Must be willing to work closely with team. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. AutoCad experience is a plus. Must be able to read pneumatic/hydraulic flow diagrams and general arrangement drawings. Understanding of electrical drawings a plus. Some travel to customer sites required.

• Base Salary of $70,000 - $95,000. Salary based on knowledge, skills, and experience and has been geographically adjusted.

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site in our Houston, TX office.
