Job summary

SSI SCHAEFER in Charlotte is seeking an Applications Engineer to support the sales team by developing innovative warehouse automation and intralogistics solutions that meet customer needs. You will combine engineering expertise, analytical thinking, and collaboration to create system concepts, technical documentation, and proposals that drive successful projects.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Two or more years of experience in warehouse automation, material handling, or intralogistics.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
• Ability to travel approximately 10–20%, including occasional international travel.

• Prepare equipment and service cost estimates and develop technical proposals, including system requirements and scope of supply.

• Two or more years of experience in warehouse automation, material handling, or intralogistics.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
• Ability to travel approximately 10–20%, including occasional international travel and training in Europe. Must be able to obtain a passport if required.
