Job description

The job profile for this position is Application Development Senior Advisor, which is a Band 4 Contributor Career Track Role with Cigna - Evernorth Services Inc.

Responsibilities
  • Architect and design scalable, secure, and high-performance systems that align with business goals in Healthcare Eligibility, Claims, and Reimbursements.
  • Lead the development of full-stack solutions using modern technologies (React, Node.js, Java) and cloud-native services (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes), while managing databases like PostgreSQL, DB2, and DynamoDB.
  • Leverage extensive experience with Mainframe technologies (COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2) and middleware expertise in IBM Integration Bus (IIB) / App Connect Enterprise (ACE) and IBM MQ for seamless integration.
  • Act as a Product Owner, refining user stories, leading Scrum ceremonies, and ensuring smooth production implementations with proactive monitoring using tools like Splunk and AWS CloudWatch.
  • Provide mentorship, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure compliance with industry standards, while driving continuous improvement and strategic growth through effective stakeholder engagement.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree (or foreign equivalent) in computers or engineering.
  • 5 years of experience in a related occupation.
  • Experience with the United States healthcare domain and Choice Fund Products like HRA, FSA, and HSA.
  • Experience developing applications in Amazon Web Services using services like API Gateway, Lambda, Kubernetes, Glue.
  • Experience using Splunk and AWS CloudWatch.
  • Experience developing software applications on IBM Mainframe and DB2.
  • Experience using COBOL, JCL, and CICS.
  • Experience developing application integrations using IBM Integration Bus (IIB) / App Connect Enterprise (ACE), IBM Message Queues (IBM MQ), Kafka.
  • Experience with data analysis using tools like TOAD, SQL Developer, and QMF.
  • Experience using Scaled Agile Framework for software development.
  • Experience developing business rules on rule engines like Blaze Advisor and Drools.
  • Experience developing business process management using IBM BPM.
  • Experience developing healthcare applications on JBoss EAP / OpenShift servers.
  • Experience with project management using Atlassian Jira.
