Job summary

Vaco by Highspring in Michigan is seeking an experienced Application Development Manager to lead a team responsible for Salesforce, web applications, portals, and reporting initiatives, setting development strategy and driving secure, scalable solutions.

Overview

Seeking an experienced Application Development Manager with 5+ years of experience overseeing software development teams and enterprise application initiatives. This role will lead a team of six professionals supporting Salesforce, web applications, portals, reporting solutions, and key business projects, while driving development strategy, project delivery, team performance, and secure, scalable solutions.

Must Haves

• Experience leading software development teams, including direct people management, mentoring, and performance oversight
• Experience managing software development projects through the SDLC while partnering with technical and non-technical business stakeholders
• Experience leading teams supporting Salesforce, Power BI, reporting solutions, and enterprise business applications
• Balance team leadership, project execution, resource planning, technology strategy

Nice to Haves

• Experience in energy, utilities, municipal, nonprofit, or mission-driven organizations
• Support technology modernization, growth, and / or digital transformation initiatives
• Small to mid-sized organization experience

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of six professionals supporting Salesforce, web applications, reporting, and enterprise technology solutions
• Manage development priorities, project delivery, resource allocation, and application roadmaps while driving quality and development best practices
• Partner with business leaders and stakeholders to identify needs and deliver technology solutions that support organizational objectives
• Bachelor's degree preferred with 5+ years of software development leadership experience, strong communication skills, and proven success leading hybrid teams
